-
How do I arrange for a tour?
-
Does Emerald Crest have a waiting list?
-
Typically, our locations do have waiting
lists. However, many unplanned changes affect the status of
actual move-in dates, so we always urge families who have
chosen Emerald Crest to reserve a room by making a
reservation deposit. Also, because our locations are
geographically close, families can place their loved one at
one of our alternative locations until a room becomes vacant
at their preferred Emerald Crest site.
-
Are current or former family members
available to talk about their experiences at Emerald Crest?
-
Yes. Many family members have asked to be
included on a telephone list for this purpose. They receive
no payment or benefits from Emerald Crest and voluntarily
offer their time to help other families. We believe the
decision process can be made easier if you have access to
objective, first-hand experiences, so we invite you to call
these individuals who will be happy to answer your questions
in confidence. This list can be obtained from our admissions
coordinator.
-
How do I place a reservation?
-
After your tour, our registered nurse and
occupational therapist will be available to complete an
in-home assessment. If they determine that admission to
Emerald Crest is appropriate, you can reserve a room by
placing a deposit. For information contact
Admissions by email or phone at 952-908-2215.
-
What if I'm not sure a move to assisted
living is the right step for my mom at this time?
-
Emerald Crest regularly refers others to
Cognitive Care Coaches, an affiliated company that
specializes in cognitive evaluations. Based on the
evaluation outcome, Cognitive Care Coaches can provide
caregivers and families living with dementia their loved
one’s level of cognitive function. This knowledge is
necessary to determine what care options would be the best
fit while keeping your goals in mind. If your goal is to
keep your loved one home with you as the primary caregiver
Coaches can help you successfully deal with behaviors that
prevent care delivery. If your goal is to be prepared before
24-hour supervision is warranted or before home is no longer
an option, regular cognitive evaluations and guidance by a
Coach will help you make the right decisions. For more
information about Cognitive Care Coaches, visit
www.cognitivecarecoaches.com or contact a coach directly
at 952-239-3657.
-
I need a break as a caregiver, does Emerald
Crest offer short-term stays for residents?
-
Yes, we can care for your loved one less
than 30 days under our Short-Stay/Respite
program. For optimum convenience, we provide the bedroom
furniture, towels and some toiletries.
-
What health insurance plans support living
at Emerald Crest?
-
How is Emerald Crest licensed?
-
As an assisted living residence for seniors,
we are registered as a Housing with Services Establishment
and meet the rules of the State of MN to use Assisted Living
in our title and marketing. Emerald Care is our Class F Home
Care license through the Minnesota Department of Health. We
are also licensed under the State of Minnesota’s Board and
Lodging rules, which include annual inspections of our
buildings and food service operations.
“The best
feature of Emerald Crest is the small community of very nice
residents in each house and the screening done of loved ones
entering so they have a good fit.”
- Debra Jensen, Chaska, MN
