Preserving the dignity of our residents is paramount in importance. At Emerald Crest, our over 30 years of experience in the senior living industry have taught us that institutionalized living is never the preference, and not always the answer, for seniors who need some degree of care and assistance. A survey of Minnesota baby boomer showed 0% want to live in a nursing home. Additionally, a review of research papers showed the impact of group-living in comparison to a traditional nursing home showed that overall decline in the individuals function slowed with certain functions improving such as emotional function. The individuals also performed better in activities of daily living in a group living care than traditional institutions.

Our environment is home-like. We provide the finest individualized care in a home-like environment. You’ll immediately notice the unique design of our homes. Emerald Crest looks nothing like the long-hallway, high-rise institutions many people think of when it comes to senior care. Each residence has no more than 15 suites, most of which are private, in order for our staff to provide the highest level of supervision, programming and individualized care. A customized floor plan encourages resident independence and the familiar routines of home. We try very hard to retain a home-like atmosphere, with flowers in the front yard, porches out back, home-style kitchens and meals, private bedroom suites filled with personal items and a front door for family and friends to knock on at any time, 24 hours a day. Take a look for yourself.
