We work hard to establish relationships with our neighbors and the businesses within our communities. We welcome volunteer help in our homes and have many opportunities for you to share your time, talents and resources. If you are interested in volunteering, the occupational therapist at each site will provide you with an appropriate orientation and help you schedule your time.

Because our residents are considered vulnerable, all new volunteers are required to complete a Mantoux test as well as a criminal background check. Children under 16 who may be volunteering with their parents are exempt.

Typical volunteer duties might include:

  • Playing the piano or other musical instrument

  • Assisting the occupational therapist with group activities

  • Conducting formal or informal spiritual and religious services

  • Taking residents on walks

  • Helping with seasonal celebrations

  • Offering special talents

If you are interested in volunteering at Emerald Crest, please contact the occupational therapist at one of our individual sites:
